Terms and Conditions

This Site is operated by jobs direct T/A recruit direct (RD) and materials on the Site are owned, for the most part, by RD.

  1. Interpretation. In these conditions of sale:

    The “Agreement” means the agreement which is formed when we accept an order from you, as provided in Clause 3 below.

    Customer” or “you” means the person who purchases Services via the website.

    Employer” refers to anyone who registers as an employer or on behalf of an employer on the RD website.

    "Job hunter" refers to anyone who registers as a job hunter, or on behalf of an job hunter on the RD web site, anyone who performs job searches on the RD website and anyone who applies for a job using the RD web site.

    Services” means the services described in the order confirmation.

    Supplier”, “we”, “us” or ‘RD’ means Jobs Direct Limited trading as Recruit Direct, registered in Ireland no. 419828.

    these terms” means the terms of business set out in this document.

    RD have created this website so that job hunters can browse through and or search through/for jobs which they would like to apply for and so that employers can post open positions and source perspective employees whom they’d like to hire. All of the above are offered to employers and job hunters alike at the most competitive prices which we (RD) can provide. However, you are only authorised to access this website or to use the materials contained within this Site (regardless of whether your access or use is intended) if you agree to abide by all applicable laws, and to these Terms and Conditions, which constitute an Agreement between you and RD. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and save them.

    If you do not agree with them, you should leave this Site immediately. Any questions or comments regarding issues with this website, should be sent to the Site Administrator by contacting us here.

  2. Terms of Sale. The advertising of Services on this website does not constitute an offer to sell them as described, or to sell any services at all. By clicking to place an order, you are making an offer to buy which incorporates these terms. If we elect to accept your offer, you will receive an order confirmation. We reserve the right to decline any order, without giving a reason.

    If you choose to register as a job hunter or employer to this Site, you will be agreeing to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. RD may change, add or remove portions of this Agreement at any time, but if it does so, it will post such changes on the Site at


    As part of the registration process, you will select a password. Your email address will be your Username. You also have to provide us (RD) with certain registration information, all of which must be accurate, complete and current. If your status changes you must update your account accordingly. You shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, which you will not have to reveal to any representative or agent of the Site.

    You shall notify the website moderators (click here) of any known or suspected unauthorised use(s) of your account, or any known or suspected breach of security, including loss, theft, or unauthorised disclosure of your password or credit card information.

    You are responsible for all usage or activity on your registration account, including use of the account by any third party authorised by you to use your username and password. Any fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise illegal activity may be grounds for termination of your account, at the Site's sole discretion, and the Site may refer you to the appropriate authorities.

  3. Orders. Orders are only binding when the order confirmation is received. You should check the order confirmation and notify the Supplier of any mistake by email or telephone immediately, otherwise the details stated in the order confirmation will apply to the Agreement.

  4. Availability. If you order Services and we accept the order, we reserve the right to notify you that the Services are no longer available at any time up to providing them. You can then cancel the Agreement and we will refund you all money paid in full.

  5. General Use. The reproduction, duplication, distribution (including by way of email, facsimile or other electronic means), publication, modification, copying or transmission of material from this Site is STRICTLY PROHIBITED unless you have obtained the prior written consent of RD or unless it is expressly permitted by this Site. The material covered by this prohibition includes, without limitation, any text, graphics, logos, photographs, audio or video material or stills from audiovisual material available on this Site. The use of materials from this Site on any other web site or networked computer environment is similarly prohibited.

    You agree to use the Services only for purposes that are permitted by (a) the Terms and (b) any applicable law, regulation or generally accepted practices or guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions.

    You must not use this site as a means to sell products or services or engage with people with a view to sell products or services.

    It is prohibited to send unsolicited email or posted mail or to make unsolicited phone calls or faxes to anyone whose contact details you gain access to while using this site.

  6. Specific Use. RD prohibits the use of its website by anyone for the following purposes:
    • Employers making duplicate posts for one open position - duplicate posts will be removed without warning to the employer.
    • Posting of job titles with excessive special characters and capitalisation. Such titles will be edited and the posting employer cautioned.
    • The inclusion/advertisement of in excess of one job description contained within a specific job posting - Example:
    • 5 bartenders in new restaurant - allowed.
    • 5 bartenders, 1 junior chef in new restaurant - prohibited. In this instance this posting is for 2 separate jobs and as such these should be treated as separate entities and as a result individual transactions.
    • All information provided about your company and the positions must be true.
    • Posting material to which you do not own the copyright unless you have the express permission of the copyright owner.
    • Posting material of an offensive or sexually explicit nature.
    • Accessing or using any employer or job hunter account except your own.
    • Posting a job which requests any of the following information from the applicant:
      • age
      • sexual persuasion
      • physical health
      • mental health
      • religious beliefs
      • political beliefs
      • ethnic or racial origins
      • membership of a trade union
    • Posting of jobs with descriptions that do not describe the job accurately or attempt to mislead the job hunter
    • Attempting to interfere with the operations of the RECRUITDIRECT.IE website, including the overloading of its server infrastructure.

  7. VAT. Unless they are expressly quoted as not excluding VAT, all prices are exclusive of value added tax and other government taxes or duties.

  8. Payment. In the event a customer elects to pay by way of credit card/debit card, payment will be collected from your credit/debit card at the same time that your order confirmation is sent, and before the Services are supplied.
  9. RD reserves the right at any time to charge fees for access to features of the Site. However, in no event will you be charged for access to the Site unless we obtain your prior agreement to pay such charges. Thus, if at any time the Site requires a fee for features of the Site that are now free, the Site will give you advance notice to pay for the feature or cancel the use of the feature.

  10. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL: Once a customer completes the order transaction (the order confirmation is received by RD), you have no right to cancel.

  11. Prices Quoted. Unless otherwise stated, prices quoted are only valid during your browser session.

  12. Queries and Complaints. Notification of queries and/or complaints must be notified to us in writing within five (5) working days of the problem arising

  13. Remedy. While RD does its best to ensure the optimal performance of the Site, you agree that you use this Site and rely on material contained in this Site at your own risk.

    The Site, and all materials in this Site, are provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, are provided without warranties of any kind either express or implied. This means, without limitation, that RD DOES NOT WARRANT that the Site is fit for any particular purpose; that the functions contained in the materials in the Site will be uninterrupted; that defects will be corrected; that the Site is free of viruses and other harmful components or that the Site is accurate, error free or reliable.

    You acknowledge that RD, its parents and affiliates together with their respective employees, agents, directors, officers and shareholders, IS NOT LIABLE for any delays, inaccuracies, failures, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, viruses, communication line failures or for the theft, destruction, damage or unauthorised access to your computer system or network.

    You acknowledge that RD is not liable for any defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct or material found in connection with this Site, including such conduct or material transmitted by any means by any other person.

    You acknowledge that RD is not liable for any damages, including, without limitation, direct, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, in connection with or arising from your use or from your inability to use the Site.

    our liability shall be limited to:

    1. Correcting the issue at our expense; or
    2. At our option, reimbursement of the price.

  14. Indemnity. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless RD, its parents and affiliates together with their respective employees, agents, directors, officers and shareholders, from and against all the liabilities, claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable barrister's fees and costs) arising out of your use of this Site; your failure to use the Site; your breach or alleged breach of this Agreement or your breach or alleged breach of the copyright, trademark, proprietary or other rights of third parties.

  15. No Other Liability. Subject to Clause 16, we will have no further liability to you other than as described in Clause 12, whether under these terms sale or on any other basis including liability in tort as a result of the sale of the Goods.

  16. Consequential Loss Etc.: Subject to Clause 16, we will not under any circumstances be liable to the Customer by reason of any representation or warranty, condition or other term or any duty of common law, or under the express terms of these terms, for any consequential, special, incidental or punitive loss or damage (whether for loss of current or future profits, loss of enterprise value or otherwise) and whether occasioned by our negligence, or that of our employees or agents or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

  17. Non-Excludable Liability. Nothing in this these conditions of sale shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or that of any of our employees or agents, nor shall they operate to exclude or limit any statutory rights which cannot be legally excluded or limited, including the statutory rights of a consumer.

  18. Force Majeure. We are not liable for delays in performance, caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control and will be entitled to a time extension for performance. Examples include strikes, problems with suppliers or transport, industrial relations problems, exchange fluctuations, governmental or regulatory reaction and natural disasters. If the conditions last for more than 2 months, the Agreement may be terminated by either party without compensation.

  19. Entire Agreement. These terms expressly incorporate our Privacy Statement. Together, they contain the entire understanding and agreement between the Supplier and the Customer relating to the sale of products to the Customer through this website.

    For information about RD's collection and use of your personal information, including our policies and practices regarding the sharing of such information with third parties, please read the Privacy Statement.

  20. Governing Law. These conditions of sale shall be governed by Irish law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland. The Vienna Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods is excluded in its entirety.


Jobs Direct Ltd (, "Recruit Direct”, “", “RD”, “We”, “Us”) agree to provide to you the employer (“You”, “Your”) the services as described in this document subject to the terms and conditions of this document (“Terms”).

By advertising your job vacancy, featured employer ad, banner ad on, you agree to the following terms:


In consideration for the payment of the Fee as set out on the website (“Site”), you may advertise details of the advert (“Position”, “Job Vacancy”, “Featured Employer Ad”, “Banner Ad” ) submitted by you to RD for publication on the Site.

  • The services listed each letter of offer (applies to greater to 6 month bundle buy options) will be invoiced in full, up front upon receipt of the letter of offer signed by the Customer. All payments are due and payable net 30 days from the date of the invoice.
  • All other non credit card/debit card payments will be invoiced in full, upon initial activation your advert/issuing of invoice. All payments are due and payable net 30 days from the date of the invoice.

  • The “Service” will include:

    • Providing a market place for you to privately advertise your advert
    • Tools to enable you to manage the content of your advertisement
    • The forwarding of enquiries generated by your advertisement to your nominated email address
    • You agree that in all other respects the responsibilities of filling your job vacancy are yours and that the service is strictly limited to these Terms.
    • You agree to use the Service strictly in accordance with these terms.


    You warrant and agree that:

    • You have the authority to advertise for the job vacancy in question on behalf of your organisation.
    • You legally represent the individual or entity who have the authority to advertise for the job vacancy in question and are under their instruction to place the advert.
    • You are over 18 years of age and are legally entitled to enter into these Terms.
    • RD are a publishing medium enabling you to privately advertise the job vacancy in question and that RecruitDirect are not in any capacity acting as agent in respect of the job vacancy.


    • You confirm and warrant that the details, description, information and any images submitted for publication by RD on the Site are true and accurate and contain no false statements, misrepresentations or omissions which may mislead any interested parties with respect to the job vacancy in question.
    • You agree that you are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of any advert that you post on the Site.
    • You agree that you shall indemnify RD in full and hold it harmless for any losses or damages howsoever arising, including claims from third parties, that may result directly or indirectly from any advertisements that you post on the Site.
    • RD reserves the right to suspend or terminate (at its sole discretion) the publication of your advertisement on the Site in the event that it is made aware by whatever means that the content is inappropriate, misleading or inaccurate, without liability to you. In such circumstance RD will notify you of the suspension or termination.
    • Any adverts giving rise to complaint or dispute of any kind shall be suspended pending resolution or otherwise terminated. RD may in its sole discretion reactivate the advertisement upon receipt of satisfactory proof that such a dispute or complaint has been resolved or otherwise satisfied. In no event shall RD be required to act in respect of any dispute or complaint other than to suspend or terminate the advertisement.
    • Advertisements which infringe any law or regulation (or potentially are infringing) containing foul or otherwise inappropriate language, offend or infringe the rights of any third party (including intellectual property rights) will be removed immediately, without warning or liability to RD.


    • Should we be unable to contact you via the current e-mail address you provide on your advertisement, and it appears this e-mail is no longer functioning, we reserve the right to delete your job vacancy without liability to us.
    • Job Vacancy adverts will remain active on RD until the period which they have been purchased for expires.
    • Featured Employers Ad’s and Banner Ad’s will remain active on the RD site for the term which they have been purchased and paid for.
    • Access to the RD CV database will be limited to the term which has been purchased and paid for.
    • If you contact us with a request to delete the job vacancy, we can only remove your advert with proof that you are the original advertiser.


    • You understand that it is essential to provide a working and correctly submitted e-mail address in order to receive any enquiries from interested parties and communications from RD.
    • You are responsible for checking that your contact details on your advert are correct and kept up-to-date at all times to ensure enquiries reach you.
    • RD cannot be held responsible for any e-mail problems you experience, whether a result of your Internet Service Provider, the Internet or any other technical issue.


    Once you post/queue or activate an advertisement (job vacancy, featured employer or banner ad) and decide that you no-longer wish for your Ad to be advertised on the website, please contact us and we will remove your advertisement from our database. You will however not be refunded for this activity.


    • You are solely responsible for dealing with enquiries in relation to your Job vacancy;
    • Agreeing the advertised salary applicable to the job vacancy in question (as applicable);
    • Vetting potential job hunters/candidates;
    • Conducting interviews (as applicable);
    • Following up enquiries you receive;
    • Negotiating salaries and additional benefits (as applicable);
