The Twelve Hotel

Since opening, The Twelve has been winning praise throughout the Irish hospitality industry, become a true media darling as well as building a loyal customer base to boot. A place with economically priced, yet beautiful and intriguing guest rooms and suites, it is a boutique hotel designed for the local neighbourhood - more than a place to eat and sleep, The Twelve is thoughtful, elegant, quirky, intelligent, cheeky, lacking in pretence, and fun.

The Twelve has been awarded ‘Best Boutique Hotel’ at the Hospitality Ireland Awards in 2008 and ‘Best New Hotel’ in 2007 after only eight months in business. It followed this up with ‘Best Internet Strategy’ at the Hospitality, Sales and Marketing Association International Awards and the Proactive MII Young Marketing Award at the Proactive West Region Awards.

The Twelve’s impressive success continued throughout 2008 as the hotel brought their total number of gongs to a fantastic eight! The hotel’s bulging awards cabinet already holds ‘Best Gastro Pub in Connacht’ and overall ‘Best Gastro Pub in Ireland’ awarded to The Twelve’s popular Pins Bar & Lounge at the Restaurant of the Year Awards 2007/2008. The prestigious Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and the Georgina Campbell Wine Award of the Year 2009 have also been added for The Twelve’s exiting wine offering at West restaurant.

The Twelve are thrilled with their success to date and General Manager Fergus O’Halloran had this to say: ‘’Our team of staff members are very special, so this is a testament to their dedication. We have put a lot of love, thought and hard work into making The Tweve what it is today, and we’re delighted to be recognised with so many awards. Our goal was to combine all the best ideas, our favourite experiences and the most demanding standards to produce a hotel that’s timeless, immediately appealing and very special.
